This would obviously be expensive and time consuming as all get out.Įven without A.I. For example, for enlarging one would ideally wants lots of photos shot at low resolution and higher resolution, with different cameras, and a variety of photos and conditions (indoors, outdoors, etc.) to avoid artifacts being used or created by the process. I have wondered where they get all the photos needed for such things, I don't know how many are needed or how exactly anyone does it, except for texts I have read. In a book on A.I., the author gave examples just like this, a program designed to see cancer keyed in on rulers used to measure tumors that were in the test images!!!). If the examples used were produced by a method that put a cow in the center of every processes photo, then that would happen to yours (Don't laugh yet). I was able to make a thinner whip with ReMask 5 simply because it was less frustrating to work with than ReMaskAI. There are some slight differences in the two masks the most obvious is the horse's tail. I have attached the original photo and both masks I would welcome anyone who has ReMaskAI to give it a try on this subject and let me know if they ran into the same troubles that I did. ReMaskAI may be the more technologically advanced program but ReMask 5 did as good a job and was much easier to work with. In my opinion, someone over at Topaz has to create a complex mask while at 400% magnification – get to experience what I did. Making brush and hand selection never required three clicks – one did it every time. The brush had almost no bleed and consequently was much easier to use. There was none of the nearby areas changing as I was touching up. Using the ReMask 5 program on the same subject was not frustrating at all. Here’s why three clicks: if I were using the green brush and then selected the hand to move around, I would have to click the hand to get back to the brush, click the working brush to change to red, and finally click the red brush. The work flow was slowed down by the need to make three clicks as I moved around making small adjustments. Most of the time it behaved more like the red brush and removed areas. For making small local adjustments as I went along, the blue brush was useless. My brush would not paint in or out at the smallest size I had to click to the next larger size for the brush to work. Sometimes the repainting would affect yet another nearby area, which now also had to be fixed. From time to time, when painting in a small area, an area nearby would be changed – and repainted. Working at 400%, I started noticing some bad characteristics of the Mask AI program. On tough jobs I generally work at 300 or 400% percent, the magnification allows for very precise edges. The other day, I had a particularly complex subject to mask out. When Mask AI came out I bought it and used it for a while – it was adequate. I used the original ReMask 5 with great pleasure, it did a fine job. Use the "Auto Detect Sky" mode for a quick trimap that cuts out skies in images.I have always been a fan of Topaz’s programs. This tool applies only to blue areas in the trimap. Perfect for complicated shapes and structures that contrast with the background behind them. Use the Color Range Tool to selectively apply green or red based on a sampled color + a range controlled by slider.Fixed bug where image drag would not prompt to save.Beginning with v 1.1.0 released February 19, 2020, our product release notes are posted to our community forums, where you can discuss them and give feedback on any changes we've made.
